Our History

Tradesman Mechanical was started by a West End Boy from Winnipeg. Tradesman Mechanical, is a privately owned, Winnipeg based, service oriented company specializing in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration and electrical for most residential, commercial and light industrial applications.

​

“Dr Cool”, a division of Tradesman Mechanical services was originally conceived by its President, Mark J. Boissoneault back in 1988. Still today, the “Dr. Cool” name represents the air-conditioning and refrigeration aspect of our services.

​

Mark’s 45 years as a red seal journeyman electrician and 33 years as a red seal refrigeration mechanic and Gas Fitter has provided him with a solid background for installing, servicing and repairing almost any piece of equipment ever made. He is a registered patent owner and is always keen on finding a better way.

Mark has also lent his skills and knowledge to assist at Red River College as an instructor for a ten month period teaching a pre-employment refrigeration class. He has previously sat on the RACM provincial advisory committee and is a member and Vise President of the local chapter of HRAI. As a mentor there is always the will for him to share his experiences with those that wish to learn.
